Wormhole Foundation Awards Core Developer Grant to Wormhole Labs

At the Wormhole Foundation, our goal is to build the web of Web3, but we are doing so with a widely decentralized group of contributors across the world. Today, we’re excited to announce that the Wormhole Foundation has awarded a grant to Wormhole Labs (WL) to become a core contributor to Wormhole.

Meet Wormhole Labs

Most of the WL team has been involved in building Wormhole since the very beginning when the project was being incubated at Jump Crypto. The team has since departed from Jump to create a fully independent company dedicated to building Wormhole and the broader cross-chain ecosystem. Wormhole Labs specializes in building products, tools, and reference implementations that help grow cross-chain activity and development. 

What is in-scope for Wormhole Labs?

The Wormhole Labs team spans engineering, product, and business development. The team is focusing on major product launches and new primitives such as cross-chain queries, zero knowledge proofs, cross-chain governance, an ecosystem of native liquidity solutions, and more.
