Details on USDS Rewards for Solana Expansion

The Wormhole Foundation received a grant from Sky Ecosystem for 100,000 USDS weekly to facilitate the migration and integration of USDS into the Solana ecosystem. This strategic initiative aims to support Solana in its mission to make its platform a primary home for stablecoins by driving ecosystem growth and expanding accessibility through enhanced cross-chain messaging. 

The grant targets USDS migration to Solana. The Wormhole Foundation has chosen Portal and any Wormhole Connect-integrated applications as eligible platforms for reward distribution. Users who transfer USDS through these platforms will leverage their cross-chain messaging capabilities and Solana-native protocols. The transferred USDS can be deposited into Kamino as collateral, or held in the transferred address to be eligible for accrued rewards.

How to Participate: 

Step 1: Transfer USDS to Solana from Ethereum using Portal or any Wormhole Connect-integrated application.

Step 2: (Optional) Deposit USDS on Kamino as collateral to start earning rewards.

Program Details: The program kicked off on Nov 19th at 9 am EST, and rewards will be distributed weekly, every Thursday for the duration of the program, starting on Nov 28th.
